I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with any of those Chinease Ebay slip-on exhausts. If so, which diameter did you get and how do they sound. Some of them actually look decebt, but am wondering as to their fitment et..
In my experience these are more of a DIY muffler. Some sound decent but have heard of them not lasting long. Im not super familiar with FI bikes, but with carbs these mufflers tend to be more free flowing and generally require rejetting. Not sure how rejetting is done or if needed with FI?
I am currently running one and it is my second. The first one is still functional, I just wanted to try something else and the price was right.
The first one came with the mid pipe and needed a little tweaking to make it fit. Nothing a muffler pipe expander couldn't handle
The second one fit right over the mid pipe and bolted right up. The second one is smaller then the first and fits a tad better. It's really all up to your mechanical abilities and taste. If you want to spend $250-500 dollars on the latest name brand exhaust go for it. I've gone the other route and taken the road less traveled. Just doing a quick search on eBay seems that none of the sellers are offering a slip-on with a mid pipe included, and that is very important to have. Not sure why.
Here is a thread that shows some decent pictures of my first one: http://www.kawasakiversys.com/forums...t-exhaust.html
Mine is the second post.
And this is very similar to the one I am running now. Motorcycle 38 51mm Imitation Carbon Fiber Exhaust Muffler Pipe Silencer Slip On | eBay
