T-Rex Lowering Link
Opted for the T-Rex lowering link versus the Motowerks, purely for economic reasons. Install does require you to remove the right side frame support to extract the OEM shock bolt. Caution, I snapped off he top support bolt, the one that the little plastic red reflector screws into. Mine was pretty weak, as I really didn't torque it that much. Checked out the replacement cost of that bolt it is over $22. It's not a simple bolt, and nut end has a built in spacer. I drilled the OEM out and used it with a regular bolt, but now I'm going to have to modify it in order to mount the reflector. If you are messing with this just go easy with the tightening.
As to how I like the T-Rex, it does lower, my 30" inseam I don't have any difficulty flat footing now. I have not lowered the front end as yet, will see how it drives, and I can probably get by with existing kickstand if I am careful. Bike is more upright. I will likely cut the stand down and weld a larger base plate, even if I don't lower the front. I don't like tipping these things over.
