laboratory oil analysis database

it would be a good idea to start a database of oil analysis lab results.
please if you have any oil analysis just post the results here so as to give access to everybody in some more technical info than the usual oil opinions that everybody have.in that way we will have a documented database accompanied with specific characteristics like mileage, engine model(car/bike) ,oil brand, interval of changing, breaking method etc...the more the info and the better documented the higher this db value will be in the future. we are a big forum and we grow pretty fast as a community,i see good spirit and very well documented opinions,a database is the next step imo.hope you follow

this would be an ideal way of posting your analysis

37500 total miles
2500 miles on oil sample
oil change interval 2500 miles

the total cost would be something like 20-30 $ .you take a sample of the oil you changing and you send it to some specific lab like blackstone.they make the analysis and they come back with results about concentrations etc, and some comments about your oils overall look .pretty simple procedure and for someone sees it in a more technical way it worth the money.there are people have done it already so it would be a good idea to be the first bike forum taking it a step further ,a documented database....i dont say hey people go make labs reach,i am saying in case you have some results just post em here.in a horizon of 2 years we may have a good statistical sample, who knows. engine oil is usually a hot matter and people tend to argue a lot about it.a wide database by people all over the globe on our forum would be an excellent input .thats my logic behind this,i hope people here enjoy this as much as i do.
