Problem with speedometer

Sorry for my English..I am from Greece and i cant speak well.I have a kawasaki versys black 07 with 24000klm.I have a problem with my speedometer...The "mode" button doesnt work..It stick...I press it and it doesnt change from oddo tou trip a trip b or hour...The reset button works fine?The new speedometer here costs 500euro....If i change the button can i make it works??Some fotos or something to help me? Thanks

I have the same problem sometimes. But I would rather not switch the wires to the pass button.

Chaosm,

Try spraying in using CRC CO contact cleaner. It's safe around electronic circuits. Maybe need some cleaning.

I had the smae problem too. I also piggy-backed 2 small gauge wire from the back of the mode button and hid them inside the harnesses necessary to the left handlebar switch. Radio Shack sells a low profile NO switch which can be mounted just inboard of the pass switch. That is how I fixed it.
