Exhaust question?

Hey all I have a quick question for all the exhaust experts. Im thinking of putting on an aftermarket slip on exhaust. Which brands come with a fitting or hole for the O2 sensor to connect up, of these wich make is the best for the money. Or do even need to worry about the O2 sensor.

Thanks

I have an FMF slip on it was around $429 and I did not have to mess with the o2 sensor at all. In fact my best friend installed it since my wife bought it for my b-day and they suprised me. The only prob he had with the instal was moving the rear tire back to get the stock exhaust out. I will try and put some pics on so you can see it. The sound is great.

I am still waiting on mine to get here, did you have to move the rear wheel to get the stock exhaust off?

So far Im leaning towards the Yosh but in the SS it look and sounds sweet and the price is right. Possibly the LeoVince or Jardine GP.

So if you install one of these what do you do with the O2 sensor then?

I had mine done at the dealership. Was a simple process they didn't have to mess with the rear tire. I very seldom work on my bike too little amount of time and i'm good at breaking things so it is usally cheaper for me to have someone do the work.

So anyone else have anymore input relating to my original post at the begining of this thread. I know there are more exhaust experts out there with good advise. And yes the pic of the Yosh on your blue v looks very nice. But I would just like more info if anyone has it..

Thanks

The Arrow comes with the bung for the O2 sensor. Great sound too.

you won't be disappointed with the leo vince. comes with an o2 port if you later want to add a sensor, too. The jardine is too loud IMHO.

Unless you mean the O2 sensor used with Power Commander V with Autotune, you don't have an O2 sensor to worry about. USA and Canadian models don't have an O2 sensor on the exhaust.

Ok My bad I actually got out and looked at my stock exhaust and you are correct there is no O2 sensor on my O8 versys. I had seen it somewere I thaught must have been on some of the models with the California emitions. Sorry for the confusion. Ok now just to nail it down on wich slip on to get. thank for all the input and help.

I was glad to see this question.
When/If I add a slip on to my exaust I want a slip on with an O2 bung so I can easily have the option to add a Power Commander V and Autotune later if I want.

LeoVince introduced a new exhaust can for the Versys at MotoGP in Laguna Seca this weekend. More info to come.
BTW, it's way nicer than the can-type silencers we've had to choose from 'till now.

Yes, that's it. I'm waiting for a call back from them on it. They were giving away discount coupons at their booth at the races.

I would have taken the one on display after the races but they didn't have the hardware pack with them. We could have installed it at camp and made the ride home with it - 400 miles yesterday.
