Replacement Hard Saddlebag Emblem?

Hey, I just bought my 2009 Versys 2 weeks ago, it came with dealer installed Kawasaki official hardbags.

When I was in my garage yesterday I noticed the Versys badge/emblem on the right bag was missing. I checked everywhere it had been parked the last few days but never found it.

I wouldn't mind not having a emblem in general, but now there is an ugly empty oval right in the middle.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? And is there a way to get a new emblem? those parts diagrams have every part of the bike in them, but do not have the hard bags at all.

Thanks!

I got a pair of GIVI metal emblems at Twisted Throttle for mine, as both had left the scene. Pretty cheap, too. 9 bucks or so. cheers, FG p.s. just glued them in.

I had this problem with my Givi luggage straight out of the box. I went to the hardware store and picked up some 3M glue for automotive emblems, decals and weather stripping. Here is a link for the stuff I used-

That's a good idea fratedog, I am looking at twisted throttle and can't seem to find the Givi Emblems, any idea where to look?

That 3M glue looks good, hopefully I can find an emblem to use it with

Thanks again

I had the right side emblem missing after a ride also. I insisted the dealer get me another one and they did (2 actually)
When I took another ride over Hoosier pass 11000+ ft I lost another emblem. I took a long hard look at the bag an noticed a tit from the injection mold in the cut out for the emblem. I believe this creates a small pocket of air which when you go up in altitude the pressure differential pops the emblem off. I sanded the tit flush and haven't had the problem since.

Lost one and took the other one and placed it on the tank. Not very keen to replace as there other cheap option to it.

doing tours and long ride sometime the bags do get hit on the side a bit and the first thing to fall off is the V Logo.

Take it back to the dealer and make them live up to the sales agreement. You should not have to be concerned at all, and they should be able to replace the emblem or the bag without issue. Either that or get your money back and get the same bags cheaper on Ebay. Same place as you bought your 30% cheaper extended warranty. You DID get the warranty online, didn't you?

Heres something a little different. I work at a photography studio and they offer jewelry and pendants and stuff like that. Some look the same size as the emblem badges. You could have a family photo put on them and make it something personal.

I talked to twistedthrottle and they didnt have any Givi emblems. I am starting a touring video youtube site and I've already designed a logo, and was thinking about using that instead. Now I just have to figure out how to print it and make it water proof and look like a real emblem.
