'15 Versys 650 Accessory dash hole sizes...

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone out there with a 2015 V has had a chance to measure the diameter of the accessory mouting location on the dash.... Basically, the diameter of the hole with the backing plate removed. (Or better yet, how "thick"/diameter of the factory USB plug/factory gear indicator).

I'm trying to avoid buying the factory USB plug as it is insanely over priced. I already have the realy. I'm looking at a few different aftermarket "flush mount" usb plugs and found two that were 28MM wide and another that was 29MM wide... Need to know if those will fit through the existing hole in the dash.

I would measure this on mine but i'm not sure exactly what gets removed when installing the plug, meaning, not sure what the "hole size" will be.

Thank you all in advance, sorry for the long-winded post.

Also if your running the storm hand guards
I found out that I would hit tall power adapters sticking out of the outlet.
something like this will hit the hand guard when you turn to full lock.

I bought my self a short usb adapter to shorten the over all height.
looks like this

Puts out 2.1 amps it says.

If I can find one of these in the future I will run it as the wire comes out of the side to charge my cell phone . this ones for an apple phone need one for the micro usb

That's the one I use (last picture) to charge my phone. Works well and stays out of the way of everything.

Garage
This is the one I have uses a 28mm hole to mount it and you don't have to use the flat fascia plate.

I really like the look of that plug! Low profile and it bypasses the need for a USB "plug in" to a simple 12v port...

What brand name/where did you find this one?
