2009 footpeg plate and hose behind

I need to know, on a '09, canadian or us model, the sequence for the hose that goes from the rear brake fluid reservoir to the rear master cylinder

I did the lowering footpeg block today, and I feel that something is off

From the outside in
The footpeg plate
The hose (from reservoir to master cylinder)
The subframe/frame
The brake light wire
Tha rear wheel

I'm not 100% sure for position of the hose
I tried to pass the hose behind the reaar subframe, but it's to thick and doesn't pass in between the rear subframe and the front frame/engine (it could pass, but I would have to sweeze the light out of it)

On the other hand, the hose looks very close to the spring of the rear shock assembly

Can someone clear the fog for me

Hi MackDaddy.

My is 09 Canadian Model and i did the lowering -Speeding lowering kit. No problem with the brake Hoses at all. Did you dismantle these hose's when you did your lowering. Only problem I have is with the brake pedal position. Need to bend it a bit to get the right footing.

I dont understand how you would have problems with the brake hose ,because of the lowering kit.

Read my original post, it explains my concern, not necessary my trouble
I didn't disconected the line, they did not mention that in the instruction, and seem like the brake pedal is ok for me
Only things is I will need a bit of getting use to the new position, cause I seem to land my feet on the top of the block (I position my feet to close to the bike)

Thank's for the piscture, but it was the hose from the reservoir to the master cylinder that was a problem
The line from the master cylinder to the caliper cannot be displaced
Thank's also for the trouble

And btw, nice SS line their !!!

No problem at all LOP, and thanks for the comps on the Yoshi. It's a great exhaust.. I highly recommend!

And BTW, I've got SS lines front and rear too. They're Galfer DOT compliant "smoke covered." Love them as well, great upgrade.

sorry If I got you wrong there, anyway did check and found the hose a little close to the spring and did a cable tie around some wire to get the distance. Some images for your reference, Hope not wrong this time.

No sweat Fastoman, no harm done

Those new pictures also depict my "concern", since in the morotwerk instruction, I couldn't see the feed line from the reservoir to the m. cylinder

I also think that maybe the picture in the motowerk instruction are from a previous year and maybe Kawi did change something

So your's and MacDaddy's will be usefull for someone else in the futur

Hi Lop.

Came home from work thinking on the brake hose been too near the spring. Took a close look and saw the hose was out of its lock. There is a Clip Lock to keep the brake hose away from the spring. Take a close at yours, might have come off.Here are some pictures with the hose in secured Lock position.


The hose in Lock position. The Lock clip is attched to the subframe.
