Oil Filters cross reference

I was doing a search and came upon this cross reference for the V's oil filter. Thought some might like to see it. I found it on this web page. www.gadgetjq.com/oilfilters.htm


Kaw OEM # 16097-0004 (number supercedes 16097-1072 or 16097-1068 that your manual might show)

AC Delco PF2135
AMSOil SMF103
Carquest 85358
FRAM PH6017A
Honda 15410-MCJ-000
K&N KN-204, about $13. Metric nut on end for easy removal.
NAPA Gold 1358
Purolator ML16817. Imported, not made by Purolator.

i've found that the same Wal Mart filters that fit my FZ1, also fit the Versys

The K&N filter listed above in the cross reference should be KN-303 I did not find this information out until later(after I bought and installed). The KN-204 (03-06 model year)does not have a pressure relief valve in the filter as does the 303. Apparently the 07,08 model year has the relief valve in the motor therefore requiring the 303. I found this information on www.riderforums.com
