wiring mod

this is what I'm doing on my tiger this weekend...I'll probably look over the V and do the same if the wiring is suspect.

This was a pretty common mod on my Aprilia Futura, made a HUGE difference in available volts for farkles. Not sure if the V needs it, never took measurements.

Put a voltmeter on the headlight bulb terminals when the headlights are ON. If it is much less than battery voltage put relays with thick wires with big in-line fuses wired back to the battery to feed the lights without going through all the switches, fuses, dip-switch and wiring connectors..
On my Yamaha xtz the voltage at the bulbs was 8.5V. When I put the relays in and got 13+ V at the bulbs they were like searchlights.
Don't forget to put 2 fuses in, one for main and one for dip beam
I havent checked the Versys as I avoid night riding. I MUST do it.
