Heated Grip Slip?? Help...

I've recently bought a used 08 V with Oxford Heated Grips installed. (Nice, since I live in Maine!) I snuck out for a very brisk ride this Christmas morning, and had the grips set on HIGH for the first time. After a while I noticed that the grip was slipping backwards on the throttle tube! I assume I need to take it apart and re-glue it, but WHAT SHOULD I USE? I didn't install them, so I can't say if it was done right the first time, and don't have any manufacturer instructions. I'd love some advice. Cheers, Chris.

Use a VERY SMALL amount of this just around the ends. Spray some into a small container (like a bottle cap) and apply with a q-tip or stick. Run a ring about 1/4" (0.5cm) wide. Careful, too much and you'll have an impossible time getting them off.

I just use some hairspray to hold on the grips. Not sure how hot those grips get though when on full.

You can use the rest of the hairspray as potato gun fuel.

this guy;

http://www.bikesax.com/Merchant2/mer...roduct_Count=0

sells '' heat resistant PowerPoxy adhesive ($3.95)''

look over to the right side of page.
i used it on mine, there never going to move using this stuff.

these grips get really hot on the bars, and tend to break loose many adhesives.
