Frame question

Newb here.

Did the intro thing.

I just bought a 07 with very very low miles.
Checked the right hand motor mount for cracks..none.

I have read all the posts about cracking on the right hand side but the latest seem to be about 4 years old.

Has everyone here shimmed the right hand side ? was this a common issue or something that was really very rare?

Some of us did it properly by shimming both front right and left mounts.

I have read about that.
So...does it matter then if you only shim the right side?

See the amount of free space and shim accordingly to hold it tight.

Yes. Both sides need shimming. Do it right by shimming both sides.

Sure glad that I found this thread, I had no idea the mounts were a problem. My right side had a larger gap than the right. Shimmed both sides accordingly.
Now to search through some older threads to see if anything else is a common occurrence and check for same.

Just shimmed mine. Did not have stainless washers on hand so I used regular ones.
I will eventually replace with stainless.
I did both sides, right hand gap was bigger than left.
