10,000/10k mile service/maintenance

yes, I have searched for this.

Could someone please tell me exactly what should be/what is included in the 10,000/10k mile service/maintenance?

Also, how much did you pay at the dealer?

TIA

It should cost nothing. You didn't find it because there is no 10K maintenance interval.

"Minor" service is required every 7.5K miles, "major" one at 15K. Look at the owner's manual or the shop manual for more details.

You didn't find it because there is no 10K mile maintenance. Just 7.5K and 12K.

From the manual:

There are a bunch of inspections as well.

oh, 7.5k miles. Yea, I misplaced my owners manual during the Hurricane Ike cleanup.

I will go search for the 7500 mile service, thanks!

oil, filter, and spark hugh, not bad.

I'm at 9.5k now. Not sure where I came up with 10k.

I suspect the mile interval is an artifact of converting from KM to Miles, I'd be tempted to treat a minor as 8k, Major 16K

That should be good enough. You'll note that the following service is listed as 36K km (which is the same interval - 12K km), but 24K miles, which is 9K miles after the major one. It really makes little difference if you do them every 7.5K or 8K.

Yeah the math on that chart is really bad. It really makes me want to call Kawasaki and ask if we are supposed to put longer lasting spark plugs and oil at the 15K service so they make it to the 24K service and then do we put in shorter lasting plugs and oil to make it from the 24K to the 30K? Couldn't we just put in the plugs and oil that last 9K at every service?

ps. at this point someone who is unfamiliar with humor is busy composing a flame about how their the same plugs and oil and yada yada yada... If your that person just step back from the keyboard.
