Sliders for first gen from 2nd gen/similar models

I'm looking at frame sliders for my '08 Versys and the options aren't that great.

I'd like to get the Puig Pro sliders but they don't make them for the first gen, HOWEVER they do make them for the second gen and the same gen ER6n. From what I know the ER6n has the same frame so will those fit my Versys?

From the T-Rex racing site there sliders work on 06-13 Versys and 07-12 ER6N's.http://t-rex-racing.com/catalog.php?item=164 So any other brand should work also

2009 Blue Versys.

That's what I thought, it's weird that they wouldn't just say 08+ since they all have the same engine.

I use happy trails panniers, bark busters, and an hb engine guard. Slides pretty good!
