front wheel bearing

I have 07 V with 40,000 km. It has developed a " whistling " noise that sounds like it is coming from the front wheel. No whistle when bike is driving straight upright, but when I turn into a corner, especially going right the whistle increases. How does one diagnose a bad wheel bearing without taking it apart?
It is certainly not the dash buzzing. I have had the dreaded dash buzz for over 3 years. In fact, I ordered the RC fuel line last week in an attempt to fix that, patiently awaiting its arrival at my local hobby shop.

I figured it out!! A good day is when you can't see through your visor or windshield b/c of the bug splatter!!!!

Do you have a front stand? Lift the wheel off of the floor and spin the tire. You may be able to feel extra resistance when turning it by hand. You can also remove the wheel from the bike, and turn the bearing with your finger. It should turn free and smooth and not be jerky.

I just replaced my front and rear bearings a few weeks ago. The job was much easier than I thought it would be. I could feel that the bearings moved easier by hand after doing the swap. I did not have any whistling before hand though.
