enlarging motor mount bolt diameter?

I have a set of R6 frame sliders with 12mm thru bolts lying about...so I pulled the front motor mount bolts and found them to be 10mm bolts, but the holes in the motor are closer to 11mm or so....so I'm wondering if there is any downside to drilling them out .5 mm or so and using the R6 sliders.....I can't think of any downside, can you?

yea, 7/16" is around 11.1mm so I don't think I'll have to enlarge the hole by much...finding a 7/16" locking jam nut is going to be the hard part...duffyduck, I have the sliders w/thru bolts and spacers. I think SV1000 sliders will probably work, too, with minor mods/bolt length changes. These are dirt cheap on ebay

Why not just buy a 11mm thrubolt? I'know the sliders would be slightly loose but I don't think that would be that big a deal once the nuts are tight.

Is it so difficult to find new thru bolt?
