Front tire wear - possible fix

Was purchasing some dyna beads today to change my front tire and got to chatting with the service tech at the shop. When I told him my front tire usually wears faster than my rear he asked me if it scalloped, which I confirmed. His suggestion was to increase the front suspension damping as he said this was an indicator on track bikes of under damping.

Going to increase rebound damping a few turns and see the effect. As a point of reference, my suspension is currently set to the default settings for preload and damping (specified in the service manual which you can download from this site). I'm about 190lb fully geared up.

The standard fork damping setting is 1-3/4 turn out (from fully seated position- Do not overtighten) with 7 turns out spring preload for 150 lb rider... For your weight, you could try 2 or 3 turns out from maximum spring preload, with 1/4 to 1/3 turn out rebound damping.
Switching to a slightly heavier fork fluid (from stock 10w to 12.5w) provides sufficient rebound damping with required extra spring support.
What suspension settings and tire pressures are you at now, and which tires do you have?

On all my bikes I usually go through 2 rear tires for 1 front.
