4 way flashers inop

My signals all work fine, but my hazards do not. When I push the button the lights flash once and then stop, have to cycle the power to get the signals to start working again. Any thoughts? Has anyone had this issue? I hate electrical gremlins! My first thought is the flasher relay but I am uncertain as to its location.

Thanks

Richard

I had the same issue but it was after I changed my turn signal bulbs to amber and my turns signal lenses to clear . It was the watts that the bulbs were at , I replaced them with a higher watt bulb and that started to make the hazzards in-op.

Click! A-ha, I just changed to the klr clear signals. Didn't make the connection there since the signals still work. Did you switch back to a lower wattage bulb or live without hazards? Brighter signals or hazards, which is better? I am wondering if it is a standard hazard relay and I can replace it with a beefier one. I noticed the 09 versys has clear lenses, so might be worth checking what bulbs or hazard relay is in it.

lol yeah I left the higher bulbs in , I use the signals more than the hazards, and yeah those bulbs are what Im going to have to order , I do like how bright mine are. so its a toss up dealing with my local Kawi shop (SGpowers) or not have hazards.. but I hate trying order light bulbs from my local dealership they just want to match what they have in stock...
