MSR Dominator Deflector Handguard Silver Standard 7/8

hello,

anyone tried the subject handguards? they cost only 45 usd while barkbusters cost 145usd!!

it says it fits 7/8" handlebar which I think is the size of the OEM handlebar for versys 2008...

thanks as always for your opinions!

PROBABLY.... Your handle-bars have a welded-in nut in the ends, so, IF those bolts are the SAME thread....

Not sure if the bolt at the end have the same thread, but that can be solved with a trip to home depot.

My main concern is about the number of bents(and therefore the flexibility on mounting) of the guards. It may or may not fit.

Some on the forum (including myself) have bought the trackside guards from cyclegear and it's fits great.

and it's cheaper than the ebay ones too.

AND it comes with the plastic shield.

Only one thing would worry me

The lack of free play at the flange end of the system (opposite of bar end)

Barkbuster have a two part flange that swivel and are probably much more easy to fit on the handle bar

But they do cost more ...
