Releasing Fuel injector connectors

I am working on my first ever valve clearance job on 2015 V 650. Thanks to the documentation on this forum, so far things have gone as expected. I am now trying to remove the throttle body assy to make more room for valve cover removal. I am having difficulty releasing these fuel injector connectors. There are 2 of them and they are gray and connect to the green plastic female on the TB. How do i release them. I tried pressing the clip under and pull, but did not come out. How do I get them out?

Hope the picture in the second post gives you some assistance. all injectors are pressed in and hold by O rings.

Be careful not to damage you injectors.
