Air box vent

I think I lost/forgot to hook up a vent line to my airbox when I did the valve check. On the front of the box, between the two intake holes is a small plastic nipple. Can anyone tell me where this should lead to? Its got a little oil coming out of it, so I assume its some sort of CCV or PCV line.

I just watched a youtube video and the guy described it as a water drain for the front of the box. So maybe the oil is just residual from when I oiled the air filter.
