Chassis/Frame Bolts - 2015 Versys Onwards

Hi guys,

Can anyone please point me out to which are the chassis frame bolts I should be looking into? I plan to do a re-torque of all the frame bolts, but unable to find:

1. Which bolts these are and where they are
2. What are the ft.lbs torque numbers for them

Which page on the manual?

You need the full service manual not just the owners manual. Torque settings is listed near the front of the periodic maintenance section I have a 2011 model so I donít have a page number for you. You will need to go back and forth through the manual to confirm you are looking at the right bolt you want to torque. They donít have a simple section with diagrams showing bolt location and torque.

I out of town today but can look up numbers for you tomorrow. As Jack said, you will need the fat printed shop manual. THere is a pdf version online, too. I believe there is a link in one of the sticky threads on this forum.

The online parts sellers will have parts diagrams too. This can help you identify the correct part. The printed manual sometimes doesn't have the best diagrams, at least for those of us who haven't been through factory mechanic training and don't necessarily know all the jargon.

Thanks guys!

Otto, thank you for the PM with the page numbers for the frame blow out - just what I needed!

I have the printed manual with me...

Okay, so the only bolts with any semblance of a higher torque range under the frame chapter is the foot peg mounting bolts. Is that it? Am I missing something?
