Bulb replacement? Been there, done that. Thanks kawasakiversys.com!

Riding home the other night, I noticed things seemed not as well lit as they should be. I pulled into my driveway, and looked at my deadlight. Turns out my low beam was burned out. That evening I jumped on the forum, and thanks to the great references we have here, changing the bulb was an extremely easy process.

A big “Thank You” to everyone who every posted anything about headlights. Once again the forum proved to be invaluable to getting the steps worked out in my head, and actually doing the job. This site is awesome.

Congrats on getting the bulbs replaced. I am curious, how much usage did that dead bulb underwent?

Also, a burn out bulb is usually a sign of over voltage if the bulbs dies early, usually the R/R is suspect. Have the voltage output checked (should be below 14V with engine running).

Thanks. My guess is it was about due. 3 years and 25,000 miles seems about right to me.

That's almost exactly when my stock bulb gave up the ghost. 25,000 miles and 2 years old.
Just a heads up...the light bulb that illuminates the license plate burned out within a week of my headlight bulb going...have you replaced yours already? If not, you might want to check that one too.

Haven't replaced the license plate bulb yet. Thank for the heads-up on that one. I'll keep an eye on it.

Yes, keep an eye on that one...it's all LEO needs to pull you over in many states.
