Read the forum about the front right frame cracks around the motor mounts.
Comes from to much space between the frame mount and the motor. Checked mine with only 12 miles on it. There was an 1/8" space when I loosened the motor mount on the right side. Took the advise and shimmed it with 2 washers. It is worth checking.
As already mentioned, you may as well shim it properly on both sides after removing both right and left motor mount bolts. The gap on the right will be smaller if you also remove the left bolt, and you'll be able to balance it out equally.
I fixed my gaps while installing the H&B engine guards, and the 'captured' nuts in the engine end turn before I can get sufficient torque on them.
Anyone got a fix?
Didn't have the problem when I installed the SW-Motech Crash bars. Actually, had a difficult time getting the nut inside the seat.
Are the nuts the same size from the original bolt to the new bolt? Can you use a larger bolt to get a larger nut? Or a thin wall socket? Or use a thick screwdriver between the nut and the wall of the seat.
