2 weeks and already problems?

I've only been riding my brand new Versys for 2 weeks (daily) and already I'm having an issue: my headlight has gone out. Has anyone else encountered problems this early? It's (of course) under warranty, I'm just worried if in just two weeks things like that are happening, perhaps I've got a lemon? I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this thing and inspecting it....

That's right. on the 2012, it's the middle light. I remember it being pretty bright even during the day. Now, nothing.

It's always a good idea to keep a close eye on your moto, to make sure it's working properly. Minimize risk, and all that.

Those bulbs are pretty cheap. You can spend $100 on a bulb that reportedly will last the life of the bike and give better visibility at night. Not worth it to me since I so rarely ride at night. It's super-easy to change the bulb. I'd be very surprised if your bike was a "lemon". I've been on the forums for this bike a long time and not heard of anyone with a V that fails consistently, from an assortment of different issues. Don't lose faith over a headlight bulb, c'mon.

Yeah this sounds like a simple part failure with the bulb manufacturer and not an indication of Kawasaki's long term performance and reliability.

Those bulbs are so easy to cause reduced life with. A simple partial fingerprint can shorten the bulbs life by two thirds, and a smudge of grease/oil can make it blow out in only a few minutes.

It's $6.00 for a replacement if you wanted to do it yourself, but like you say.. it's under warranty, let the dealer fix it.
