Cool Polaris Regulator / Good used

From time to time I frequent Ebay looking for deals, may start posting in this thread as time permits. All these post are photo verified 4012941 Polaris regulators, just need a little clean up.

Anything over $40 I haven't included except ones with make a offer Most are from one seller Powersport nation, which I have used before.Excellent prices for used. IMHO if you follow my post on converting, it will almost guarantee your stator will outlast your bike engine!

If I get the occasional post like this one I will update , if lack of interest I will delete the thread. This conversion will give you your second best investment since you bought the bike, I have been running series regulators for 9 years and 50,000 KM, some day soon expect to see series regulators as standard equipment, it only takes one bike manufacturer to switch, however I would imagine the actual cost of the Kawasaki regulator to be around $10, a Polaris about $20.

Bought one of these from Powersportsnation back on January 10th. Order total was $30.39. Came quickly and was terrific, just needed a bit of a clean-up. Despite my terrible soldering skills I got it swapped in no time!

If anyone picks up a Triumph harness to go along with, Pandora Motorsports had the cheapest price shipped I could find ($15.60 shipped).

I would Buy the Last One

As in the title, I would buy the last one, $28 plus $9 shipping, except I already have a spare set up, and I paid almost $20 more for it. And Yes , BG is another reputable seller I have used before, several other regulators were listed but I could't verify their authenticity . And as to the Triumph harness, I have to admit, for the price, I couldn't build it at cost for the sell price, plus if you have never been shown how to crimp or don't have a proper crimper, the very best bang for your buck is the Triumph harness!

OK I did it. Just finished the install of the SH 775 4012941 regulator on my gen 3 V650 LT . It was not exactly
plug and play. Much easier with the Triumph wire harness and I think neater too.
The mounting hole spacing is a little different, requiring some hand file work. Good thing the
reg is cast aluminum alloy as it's not real hard. Next thing. t he bracket for the overflow
tank was in the way of the upper plug of the reg. Quick work for my cut off tool and a pair
of vice grips. I think what is left of the bracket is still plenty strong. It had three holes in it already
so I cut between the first two holes. I also touched up the exposed bare metal with some black paint.
I knew upon reading the service manual that there were only five wires, no brown wire.
Easy to hook up, but I still got it wrong. I knew it was wrong, on start up the headlight didn't come on.
redid the two wires and all was good. Before I forget, you need two longer bolts to mount the
new reg as it's thicker. So, all and all, very happy to do this mod on my forever bike and it didn't
cost that much.
SH 775 4012941 regulator ( used ) $ 38 to the door
Triumph wiring harness $ 13
connectors $5
time involved One afternoon ( but I can do it now in about 90 min )
Moral of the story, easy to do,take your time, don't cost much.

Upgrade your Kawasaki!

For those stumbling across this thread, it isn't meant to discuss why install a Polaris or Compufire, it is meant to assist in buying a cheaper one since Polaris doubled the price of a new, once it figured out us guys with motorcycles discovered it. I include, Yamaha, Triumph, Suzuki and others.

I have a inquiry for several sellers that lack the photo showing the proper part number, if they come through, I will add links from those as well.

Polaris Regulator / Good used

A new series regulator has come on the market, very close to the price of the 412941 Polaris before they jacked the price. I have no experience at this time however I am considering buying one in Canada and doing some tests. Since this is a new product made for Polaris, not everyone has stock. I am posting those that have stock and a good price. New number is 4016868

Polaris 4016868 / 50 Amp

This is a update, if there is interest I may post valid 4012941 Polaris regulators , however my preference is to come up with a way to mount the new 4016868 50 amp regulator, which I purchased new for $128 including tax Canadian funds, this is a superior regulator with less forward losses which in turn reduces heat. Due to the fact it is larger , my thought is to move it on the MK-1 and MK-2 . The MK-3 which is what I have will be getting my 4016868 installed this winter in place of the existing compuFire, ( I know it will fit , as the CompuFire is 1/2 inch higher than the Polaris 4016868 ) https://www.kawasakiversys.com/forum...es-50-amp.html

So is there interest for me to post legit 4012941 Polaris from ebay?

Old Polaris Used / 4012941 / SH775 BA

I just spent a half hour looking, not 1 single new or used legitimate Polaris regulator, using : 4012941; Polaris Rzr regulator;SH775; Polaris 4012941. However I did find the new 50 amp 4016868 :https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2018-POLARIS...wAAOSw0O9bDtFn

Anyone that is interested in looking for a legitimate used 4012941 Polaris , PM me and I will look, however it appears that Polaris is discontinuing use of these and the price is double that of the 4016868, also suppliers have already raised the price, 2wheel pro now lists it at $90, when I posted originally it was $85.
