Shorty levers

Hello all.

I dropped my bike a few months ago and the brake lever was bent. I bent it back and it is working, but it is ugly. I want to go the shorty route but had bad luck with one that I bought off ebay - it ended up locking the front wheels (fortunately at a very slow speed). The others are very expensive at 4 times as much as what I got from ebay.

I was going to just get a factory replacement, but decided to ask if anyone has had good luck with the ebay levers on a 2011 Versys.

What seller did they come from? I bought a set from "the2wheels" that have been working well for me. I got polished because a few other reviews said the anodizing wears off the colors.

I have had my EBAY shortys for 3 years now and have no regrets.

I do not notice any difference in color from when I got them(they are black). I had read of them fading if left outside, but I store the bike in a garage, and it is only outside for work days.

I have an adjustable + flipable lever prior to swapping the mc. No locking issue for me, but the mech did drilled the hole where the piston rod sits, a lil deeper.

With the new mc swap i have just ordered a new pair of shorty off ebay and waiting for shipping now, but i wont be using the short lever anyway. I'll swap out the short lever for the flippable i had previously. Shhort levers on the clutch side just doesnt cut it for me.

The reason i bought the shorty is bcoz it's cheaper and i only needed the radial lever base and not the lever itself.

I bought it from profairing21.

Do any of you have it for 2011 Versys and if it works without modification, who did you buy it from?
