Looks like a good mount for a Droid....

or any other smart phone to me.

I want a GPS but things are getting tight here due to the hospital stay.

I have been looking for a nice safe WATER PROOF rugged way to mount my Droid 3 on my bikes that won't break the bank or let the phone pop off and break IT! I think this might be the answer for me. Ram Mount has a box that the phone goes in that you can still run the touch screen through. Then you buy the ram mount to bolt it on the bike. Looks like the whole deal will run a little over $70.00. Not super cheap but it looks like a tough set-up. I think you have to supply your own power cord but that's about $10.00 tops.

and a mount

And a link to the site. just scroll down a bit and you will see where to enter you phone brand and model

http://www.rammount.com/Products/Mot...Default.aspx#/

Or was that look THEN leap?

Am over the whole "use your phone for GPS on the bike" thing. It just never works out for any number of reasons. Have just fitted a dedicated waterproof GPS with a charge cradle and glove freindly display.

I am in Oz and over here we have a popular motorbike GPS brand called Strike BT, excellent quality, Win CE5, damn quick, comes with a bluetooth headest for the helmet and sells for about US$360.

This is my detailed review: http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/sh...d.php?t=134802

Life is now perfect, no more visibility problems, slow speed, non glove friendly, battery draining, hal baked GPS solutions.
