Aftermarket Gas Caps

I had to drill out the lock on my factory cap because the lock had siezed. I ended up ordering a Vortex cap overnight because I had a rally to go to. I noticed that there is a gas vapor smell now. Anyone else have this problem? I never had this issue with the factory cap. I checked my bolts and alignment several times. Must be design? Help . . .

Some had problems with lack of venting with previous Vortex cap... Now they made sure the new V3 is sufficiently vented. Stock cap also has both an oulet and inlet valve to release positive (expansion) and negative (vacuum) pressure. Valves in stock cap just need more pressure to open and release.
