Ricks Stator question

Hi Guys,

After burning out the stator last year on Bonneville Salt flats and costing me $800 to get it fixed. I decided this trip to buy a Ricks stator before heading out on a long trip so I can change it myself if the present one fails in the middle of nowhere again.

My problem is simple. Ricks stator doesn't come with the plug attached and so I need to attach the plug off my old burnt stator. All the wires are the same color. see pic

Question
Do I just solder any wire to any wire on the old plug? Thanks

Should be as there are 3 winding and 3 wires only-IMHO.

After breaking down in the middle of this, luck is not an option again.lol

FWIW The black dot on the salt over the middle of my seat is a racer on the track.

Yes, all 3 winding wires can be interchanged in the plug. It does not matter which one goes where.

Garage
You sure that is a Rick's Stator?

I ordered one from him in April, and it included the plug on it.

After carefully looking at the website one and its wire sleeve cover material, it seems to be the same. The white tie wrapping is the same.

It came in this box but could be a copy. I just want it to work when I need it.
