FI issues

So my bike is doing this weird thing where, most the time (not always though) if I turn the bike off with the key, and leave the switch in the on position, then I turn it back on with it still in the on position, the bike wont turn over and the FI light flashes. If I then turn the switch to kill, turn the key off, turn the key back on, and flip the switch, starts right up. Not a huge deal, but I am curious what it is. I did drop the bike a couple months ago, and I know there is the bike down sensor, but one flip of this should reset it, and it still does it all the time.

Do you wait for the fuel pump to prime before hitting the starter?

Try pulling the main fuses to reboot the computer and see if it still persists.

Sorry, I didn't read your description of the problem carefully enough, please disregard my first reply. Try what Zak said, as well as the ecu diagnostic test, which involves grounding the plug under the seat and reading the flashes on the dash.
