Axle Nut

Does anyone know how big the axle nut is on the Versys? I don't have a large enough socket and want to get one.

Steve

I bought a motorcycle because my wife said that I couldn't! Now I have two and she still says I can't have another one!

I think its a 14 mm. I'll try to remember to check tonight.

Autozone sells a three pack of hex sockets, and its the middle one.
I think the pack comes with 12mm, 14mm, and 17 or 18mm?

The left side is larger than the right and my 22mm wouldn't fit on the left side.

Doh, I was thinking front axle for some reason.

Rear, one side is a 22 and the other a 27 I think.

Thanks. I knew my 22 fit on the right side.

As you face the rear of the bike the left nut is 27mm and the right side is 22mm. You may need both sizes to get the required torque.
