New to forum

Being new to the forum. Wanted to ask a question.
It seems with a particular model there is always somethning of a bugaboo, with a certain model.
For instance the "Doohickey" with the KLR pretty much a given that eventually it will need worked on.

1. To all the long term owners of the Versys, what are some if any of the common "Bugaboos" with the Versys?

Thanks for your help.

welcome to the forum j2.

I'd say from my limited experience with my versys (1500 miles), but also reading a lot of the threads here;

1) front cowling vibration, IE a kind of 'buzzing' from the cowling. There are numerous threads and potential fixes on the forum.

2) motor being kind of rough. being a 2 banger, it's never going to be as smooth as in inline-4. Some have said that adding crash bars can lead to vibrations, I haven't experienced that myself with my Givi bars.

That's really the only 2 I can think of, maybe others will chime in.

1. Left mirror on the Pre-2010 models tends to loosen itself.
2. Buttons on the Meters may become inoperable which requires the meter to be removed and clean with contact cleaner. (Stuck buttons).
3. Dunlop tires converts to Dunslips after 50% usage.
