Handguard dimensions

I'm thinking about trying to make a set of handguards. It would be helpful to know the dimensions of the aluminum bar stock. If someone with a set of Barkbusters or the Kawasaki handguards could measure the width and thickness of the aluminum stock and post it up, I'd be grateful.

Thanks.

I remember typing out the dimensions on the other thread but I must have forgotten to post them. The bar is 3/8" by 3/4" so your visual estimation was very close.

Thank you there, brother.

I have some aluminum in those dimensions, but it's 6061 and I'm not too sure I'll be able to bend it. We'll see.

do you intend to install the barkbusters plastics, make your own or go naked?

I'll make my own plastics. Following this guy's video:
I've made a couple of fender extenders for my bikes. I'm going to do the same for my V and make handguard plastics if I get the aluminum bits made.

That video is really well done.

Looks like a considerable amount of work for one sent of hand guards but once you figure out the process you could go into business selling them on the forum.
