Looking for any info I can find on this motor for a swap: Dimension, vital parts, etc

Howdy Fellas!

I realize this is probably an odd request, but I'm looking for any and all info possible about this motor.

First things first, I've been toying with the idea of a motor swap for my yamaha supermoto. I've been researching dependable, reliable, and compact motors, and the fuel injected kawasaki 650 parallel twin is at the top of my list.

Obviously size is an issue. I was wondering if anyone has approximate outside dimensions so I can get a rough estimate of what I'm looking at. I'm thinking sump to valve cover, case to case, and maybe the square dimensions of the valve cover for frame clearance sake. Even center point to counter sprocket, anything is a great start.

I also need to know what I need to make this a "turn key" replacement motor. I've never dealt with fuel injection but a member on here was already kind enough to point me in the right direction. He said I would need the motor itself as well as the throttle bodies (which I assume come with the fuel pressure regulator, fuel rail, and injectors) , coils, air temp sensor, computer, and wire harness. I assume I will also need an in tank fuel pump whether it is from a 650 or universal. I was curious however if the exhaust had any monitoring equipment in it, or if it is just a metal pipe.

Thank you for your time,
-Alex

No O2 sensor in North American Vs, but there is a catalytic converter in the muffler.
Maybe Dave (jdrocks) can step in with sizes....

Thanks for the input guys. JD, I just finished ready the 25 pages of that failed swap and probably an additional 30 more.

I have decided against this idea for the most part, but dimensions would still be great. The thread had a few measurements, but they were pretty inconclusive. There is still a chance this could work.

Carry on.

One of the guys from the German versys-forum.de put an ER6 engine inside a Cagiva Mito 125 frame with great success. So at least you're not the first on to try something like this.
