How do you drain the gas tank?

I just took my tank off to be painted, and ended up draining most of the gas out of the top bung hole into a container. There's still a lot of gas in there which I can't drain this way, ( I suppose due to a baffle system in the tank. So do I just remove the fuel pump and drain it out the bottom? Is that just a matter of disconnecting the bolts fastening it to the tank, or will I need a new gasket after doing so? Any help is greatly appreciated.

very easy, you won't have any problems.
Done and thanks JD!
