T-Rex Spools & Spacers

I have a set of T-Rex spools that came with about 1/2 inch spacers. Should I install the spools with the spacers or are they not needed on the V?
Thanks!

Seems to me that mine came without spacers, so they contacted part of the swingarm and broke a bit off. Try WITH spacers.

Thanks! Spacers it is. I also read that a little blue locktite is a good idea as well. A couple guys had their spools fall off on the road.
