Just a general "Thank you all very very much"

Nothing earth shattering here... I just replaced the air-filter for the first time.
(kinda tricky, what with dealing with the fuel tank and all...and sure, Not "brain surgery" for most but for me...PRICELESS!!!).
Anyway....
This site, and more importantly all of you that come here and share your knowledge and wisdom regarding all things 'motorcycle' have given me the confidence to tackle many issues with our "V".

So...Thanks to all of you for being so gracious with your knowledge.
You've all helped to make my first foray into this exclusive club of two-wheeled motor-heads so much more than I could have ever imagined.
You cats rock!

OK.I'll shut up now.
Be well.
Ride safe.
Peace
Carl ('stagehand38')

Couldn't agree with you more stagehand. Info and assistance from other members is great. My fellow bikers and friends are probably sick of hearing about our GREAT forum !!!

BTW -- the service manual was invaluable in changing the air filter. I was also a little freaked out about taking the gas tank off. The link to the manual was provided on our forum.

I just went with the factory piece....46 bucks.
actually, I was impressed by the way it slots into the intake plenum....seems like a pretty thoughtful design....and because of all the info here at our forum, dealing with the tank WITHOUT having to disconnect any plumbing was very helpful...I utilized the ole "bar stool with a couple of text books to prop up the tank" trick (LOL) to support everything while I made the swap.
(and my sweetie kept a helping hand on the tank it's self so I didn't have to worry about the tank taking a tumble).
Thanks Hon!
