F. Me being anxious to fix my V before a move in a couple weeks (when I lose the garage), is causing me to overlook things. I called up the local Kawi dealer, well, semi-local for me at the moment. Have had great service and all from them. After looking at online part catalogs like here (http://www.powersportswarehouse.com/...ar=0&fveh=9334
), i have found that the regulator (#21066-1127) has been replaced with a "newer" (?) part (#21066-0705). Back to the Kawi dealer, they had an unbelievable price for a brick and mortar store, $99 bucks. I asked the part number and it's the -1127, coundn't remember if that was the "newer" one or not, and said that I thought there was a newer one that I saw online ending in -0705. They said that they have the most up-to-date parts catalog, and I have every reason to trust them.
Now, looking at the linky above, I realized it may not be the "newer" part.
Any thoughts? Why exactly would a parts catalog read that one part replaces the other part (in this case -0705 replacing -1127)? Just renumbering? Is there cause for concern?
And while I am at it with the barrage of questions, any Washingtonian's know of a shop that'll rewind a stator?
