Fork Tube outer diameter?

I would like to get the definitive answer on what the outer diameter of the fork tube is for our Versys bikes? Looking at acquiring some fork tube clamps from Pro-Tek so that i can mount a high Acerbis black motocross fender

I keep seeing 41mm mentioned at various sites but then i also heard that 51mm is the a outer diameter and the 41 is some other measurement on the forks

Talking about the black upper portion of the fork tube beneath the crass clamp

CONIRM 52mm TOP and BOTTOM?

Can someone confirm that they are 52mm both at the top and at the lower triples?

Some models run different diamter top to bottom on the trees.

Wouldn't you want to mount those lower on the fork leg than the OP's fender? The outer diameter of the uppers is different in different parts. I think I measured 48mm where I mounted mine--not certain. More here:

If you are asking someone with calipers what the diameter is, you don't need those necessarily.

Perimeter = P, Diameter = D, Radius = r, (D = 2 x r), Pi = 3.1416

P = 2 x Pi x r
P = Pi x D
P / Pi = Diameter

1. Measure the Perimeter with a tape measure (in any or both units, metric or standard: 1 inch = 2.54 cm = 25.4 mm).
2. Divide the Perimeter by 3.1416 (Pi) = Diameter.
3. You're done.

Clamps come in a range of sizes, so this will be accurate enough with round-off error (you don't need to round Pi off to 1,000 decimal points, ha ha.)
