mirror questions

My right mirror bends back when I exceed 70kph. How can I tighten this? I assume I need to somehow remove the rubber boots at the bottom of the mirror stalks to do this but they are stiff and brittle (the rubber boots) and don't want to move. Also how can I fix vibration in the mirrors as there is not much rear view detail when they are vibrating.

The stock mirrors are garbage. Your better off replacing them.

The boot is probably stuck. Wrestle it off and it will stay looser for when you do it again and again. I carry a wrench in my tank bag because they always loosen. What i cant understand is that the mirror nut seems to have been rounded over at the factory. There's hardly a flat surface to engage your wrench.

I recently asked the same question, and you'll find a lot of answers here. I myself opted for KTM superduke mirrors.
