Do a search for "I broke my clutch cable" and you will find a complete site dedicated to how to lube your clutch cable.

Dont bother me with DETAILS!

The easiest way I did it a week ago was to fully loosen the cable adjuster on the right side of the engine. Mark the position first, loosen the small lock nut from the long nut and screw them both down toward the clutch actuator. This will give you the needed free play when you detach the clutch cable from the lever. If you do not give the cable enough play first it will be a pain to separate the cable from the clutch lever. There's more step (follow the recommendation above) but doing this first is the easy way with damaging the cable or the lever. I spent over an hour last year trying to get that cable free without bending hardware.

And since your in the lubing mood I would do the throttle cable as well and make sure that it's adjusted according to the operators manual. I had too much slack on the return cable.
