sprocket question

I just got my new sprockets and chain from sprocket center. I ordered the sprocket kit for ninja/versys with the stock 15 front and a 44 rear.

The front sprocket doesn't appear to have any kind of dampener in it. Is that something I can take off the original sprocket or do I have to order it directly from kawasaki and return this one?

rumbo, does your front sprocket look like it needs changed (worn)and why did you order a kit, what was your goal? How many miles are on your current set?

Duster- I got close to 20k miles on it and I really want to change the gearing for all the highway riding I do, so I figured it would be better to change everything out.

I think you need to get the OEM Sprocket to get the dampener. At 20k it is a good idea to change the whole set.

You have to order the sprocket with dampener, it is not a feature you can take off the one sprocket and put on the other.

well that sucks. I thought since I was ordering the sprocket specifically for the versys that it would come like the oem one. Guess I'll have to go to the dealer.

Don't fall in love with a Ninja1000 while you're there!
