09 seat and rear trunk on 2010?

Hey guys, quick question. I was thinking of trading the 09 Greenie for a 2010 or 2011 Versys. Can I still use my Baldwin seat and the rear Kaw trunk that I had installed on the 09? Or do i need to buy a new 30 Liter trunk and hardware again? Thanks....

Why trade. Same bike the new ones are just a little uglier.

I think they'll work on the V2. Tell the dealer you plan to remove them when you go down to talk about the trade, it won't change the trade-in value much if at all. If they don't fit the new bike you'll get more by posting them here.

This is why I never dispose of the original parts that are replaced. The custom parts don't affect the sale or trade-in value much, if at all. When the bike goes, the stock parts go back on, and the custom stuff can be sold on ebay.

I believe the seat will work but the mounting points for the rear rack are different if they bolt into the grab handles.

I ride a 2010 and I had to buy a different rack from the 09's and earlier.

Here is where my SW Motech mounted up.

Whichever you decide!!

Met the O.P. on my trip to St.Louis last year. Really good guy got some photos of our bike together somewhere on my computer. Don't see why he would want to trade unless he just really like the looks of the new V's.
