Fingers crossed

When I decide to go full throttle bike revs but won't speed up. New clutch cable and oil/filter change soon. I really hope I don't have clutch damage... 09 with 15k miles.

Check at Footbrake side

You need to check the clutch slack at the foot brake side, there should be about 1/16 of a inch free play at the lever above the foot brake , a common problem on the MK-1 was a pinched clutch cable on the right side just as it passes the gas tank mount. There are 2 adjustments, one is by the throttle cam and the second at the clutch handle / lever , the handle is for fine adjustments the one covered with a rubber boot by the throttle cam is for coarse adjustments. You should be able to slightly pull in the clutch and observe the travel both pullong and releasing, either the cable is pinched and or your adjustment is wrong.Riding a bike with a slipping clutch is almost a certain disaster waiting to happen.
