Engine issue

Hi Guys,
I have 2015 Kawasaki Versys 650 with 7000 miles on it. Started to smell oil burning and see light smoke coming out from the front of the engine, do not see any oil leak, I took it to the dealer they said nothing wrong with it but I still smell burning. did any one have or had same issue?

Did you change the oil recently?

Are you certain that is oil? There have been reports of coolant seeping from the pump. Clean off the engine, then dust it with talcum powder in the area where it appears. Start up the engine and the leak should show up.

Normal / burnt rubber

There was a change in 2015 to the fan, there is now a rubber deflector mounted on the front top of the valve cover, smell of burnt rubber for a couple weeks, then it goes away.
