Yes, about 2 years ago I installed the rear lowering link on my '08V, and slid the front fork tubes up as far as possible (per instructions). Its was very easy to do. I also removed all the spring preload on the front springs to make the front even lower. It works pretty good. It handles well, and it looks better being lower overall and somewhat level. Compared to the stock set up, the front is still slightly higher than the rear, but not by much.
I will have 35,000 miles by the end of the riding season, and my V will be due for changing the fork fluid. If I get time this winter, I may try installing new progressive type springs in the forks, maybe a little shorter than stock, so I can get the front a little lower, and replace the fork oil with slightly heavier oil for increased damping.
