Gen 3 fork seals

On my ride to D2D and AK, my forks began leaking, right one at about 16K kms, left at 18K kms.

As my '08 forks were fine till about 60K miles, and my '09s till 66K kms (when the insurance co. took it), I figured that this was NOT OK, and when I made the appointment to change them at the dealer, I mentioned all that.

I removed the forks myself (w/ ALL that entails) and took them in, reading a book till they were completed (PLUS I watched while the oil was put in to ensure they weren't overfilled), them back home to re-install them. Got a notice a day later that Kawi was covering them under warranty.

Under warranty! Well done Kawasaki. Hope the delay didn't upset your trip too much. Great photos and narrative by the way. My envy meter was pretty much in the red - except for the rain, that is.

Well, that's early. Mine has 25K kms and no signs of leakage. Defo some sort of manufacturing issue, good thing the warranty worked
