wheel interchangeability

pretty sure I saw someone post that all years use the same wheels.... that true? I have ABS & it looks like the sensor ring just bolts on with the rotor & no problem. any thoughts? the plan is to have 2 sets of wheels with the 2nd having a more dirt type tire.

the extra rear is most important. I might just run a more aggressive tire on the front all the time. its a strategy that has worked for me other bikes

if I'm answering your question I assume the basic points have been addressed, such as: did you do a compression test? is it still on fire?

All Kawasaki 650 motorcycles, Versys, Ninja and ER6N have the same wheels

Not sure if ABS and non ABS bikes use same wheels or not.

Yes, wheels are the same for ABS and non-ABS bikes. Wheels are shared with 2006 to 2011 ER6 bikes, 2012+ use different wheels.

How confident are we that 2009-2010 ER-6n front wheels will work? I'm in need of a front rim and a salvage yard near me has one for an 09 ER-6n available.

Anything else need to be swapped, like the axle, spacers, or bearings?

Anyone know if ZX-6E rims (circa late 90s-early 2000s) will fit? I've got a set from an EX500 project I abandoned years ago just sitting around collecting dust (at a glance, looks promising). I imagine a few eBay rotors, bearings, coat of paint, and I could have a second set of rims loaded with more off-road friendly rubber.

that is a score, the fronts seem to be stupid expensive on fleabay

Keep it rubber side down and enjoy the ride

yeah, i just bought an 09 ER6n front wheel with tire, without rotors for $175 shipped. I had called half a dozen salvage places, but no one had anything that would fit.

Confirmed, '09 ER6N wheel works just fine. Took the spacers, rotors, and axle from the stock wheel and put them on the ER6N wheel; all is good.
