Tire pressure & over-priced oil change

Ok so I won't vent about the over-priced oil change aka first service as I know most of you also took that one in the shorts also.....
I did notice the front tire making a noise it hadn't before so I checked my tire pressures when I got home and sure enough they pumped up the front to 36 psi. When I bought it and brought it home they had done the same thing which I lowered to 32. Anybody think of a reason that the dealer would have both tires as 36 when Kawasaki says 36 and 32?

Here's another one for you. I love my dealer but this was my pressure dilema. I get home with the bike thinking the whole way home something feels not right. I check the pressure....22 front 26 rear . I corrected to 32/36 and life is good. I rescently checked pressure on my son's ZRX1100 (he's 16 forgive him) and he was 8-10 pounds low on both. He rides off and comes back 3 hours later "Dad my bike feels awesome". Amazing how much the right pressure on a bike can be felt.

Dealers just don't care? Thats been my experience.

My guess...
Because the only bike that the dealer sees other than a cruiser is ZX6Rs? They run ridiculously high front tire pressure.

I had to go to 36F and 40R to get the Sported M3's to deal with the tar snakes. Almost unridable at the pressure Kaw says to run in the stockers.

Dealer first service, or disservice?

Yeah, after the first service on my V I thought something was strange.
Front tire at almost 40lbs and rear at 46lbs, cold?
Had apparently adjusted the throttle and not retightened the adjusters, nice!
And the idle was at 2200+ rpm, great job! Man, best $134 oil change ever!

I'd go back and complain. Not just to the dealer, to Kawasaki as well. If they accept your bike in for service and charge you for it, they should do it right. Yes, they probably have more work than they can handle, but taking more jobs than their mechanics can reasonably do well is not good for them or the clients.

If you don't go back and complain, the service manager may not know the extent of the problem he is creating, nor will the store manager and it'll never be better. In the worst of cases, you'll get some excuses and a bad feeling about that place (which may be good, if they screwed up an oil change, would you take it back for a valve adjustment? ). If it's a decent shop and an honest mistake, they might make it up to you with a free oil change or whatever.

I do all servicing myself. That way, when it's not done right, I know who I need to complain with...

over priced oil change is right!

I had bought my bike to try to save some money! Iím not mechanically inclined at all. I live in northern jersey (Morris County) and most dealers are closed on Mondays and itís my only day off. Can any one help me with a local mechanic that can change my oil and make sure i'm not running my bike to the ground with out charging me an arm and a leg?
